I just ran 3 miles in 24 minutes — that’s the magic 8:00 mark! This is excellent preparation for the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge run next week. My mark for the 3.5 mile course was going to be 32 minutes, but based on this, I might try 27 minutes or something. I’d be quite pleased with that, given that this is my first organised run.
I also did a decent shoulders routine after my run, so on the whole, today’s been good exercise-wise. Numbers:
* Military press: 10 x 17.5, 9 x 18.75, 5 x 18.75
* Bent-over rows: 10 x 12, 10 x 12, 10 x 12
* Front and side raises (superset): 10 x 5, 12 x 5, 16 x 5
* Standing rows (dumbbells): 10 x 8, 10 x 8, 10 x 8
