Yep, you read that right. 6kg. So I guess the plan to get to 75kgs by the new year is out the window.

I heard a busker playing U2’s “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” at Piccadilly Circus station the other day. She had a husky voice and did a beauuuuutiful rendition on her acoustic guitar. I was on the escalator going up when she started, so I didn’t get to hear the whole thing, but it was better than any other version I’ve heard yet. It’s funny how some songs sound better once they’ve been digested by someone else and re-interpreted. Example? Maxwell’s version of “This Woman’s Work”, of course :)

London’s freezing these days, BTW. I saw a crack in the road today with water pouring out; apparently a water pipe froze and cracked under the road. Given that water is ridiculously expensive here (our quarterly bill goes over 100 quid), I’m curious to see how long they take to fix it.

Oh, and the blog’s no longer called ‘Spud King’. People were getting the wrong idea. (Actually people were getting all kinds of wrong ideas…)
